My Purpose and My Passion

Are you a woman feeling tired, worn out from wearing your "superhuman cape" while crying behind closed doors? Are you in constant conflict and struggling to be heard in relationships at home and at work? I hear you sis.

Over the years, I developed a passion for working with women who want to redefine themselves and renew their sense of purpose. I provide therapy services for women who are tired and can't pretend anymore. You've decided you want help to stop worrying and losing your temper, and claim peace.
I have a heart for Black women who also love God and also know they need help in managing their emotional health. You can have Jesus and therapy. My goal is to end the stigma of seeking mental health care in the Black Community. And as the Pastors always say: Faith without works is dead, so act in faith and ask for help. Life is hard at times but you don't have to go it alone.

My approach
My path as a counselor started when I was younger and growing up in a Christian home as a kid who always struggled with anxiety. Could you actually keep your faith and still trust God? Absolutely, but it's taken a lot of growth to believe the two.
I take this approach into my work believing life is not Black and White and your experiences drive your perspective. This thought allows me to work with a range of clients ranging from teenagers, college students to clients preparing for retirement who are dealing with depression, anxiety and relationship changes. I have a passion for working with young women who are establishing their identities and also want to keep their faith as a part of the process but remain open to working with anyone needing acceptance, care and support.
